Honoring the 2025 centennial of the first Surrealist exhibition, we spotlight the trailblazing women who reshaped the movement from its margins. Learning to Look 👀 Women of Surrealism Once overshadowed, artists like Leonora Carrington, Frida Kahlo, Kay Sage, Dorothea Tanning, Remedios Varo, Meret Oppenheim, Claude Cahun, and Dora Maar broke through the men’s club of Surrealism bringing new visions of the subconscious, myth, and identity.
